01The path

From your first message to 30 days after launch.

  1. Step 01: Tell us what you need

Answer about seven short questions, or just email us. If you tried Find the Opportunity, it comes along.

Sending it is not an order. There is no payment in the form.

    You get

    • A confirmation email with your reference
    • A reply within one business day

    We need from you

    • A few answers about your business and your customers
    • A budget range and your timing
  2. Step 02: A short conversation

If it helps, we talk by phone or video about your business, your customers and what your website should help them do. For projects in Chicagoland, meeting in person may be possible.

    You get

    • A recommendation: Signature or Interactive, and why

    We need from you

    • Honest answers about your customers and how they decide
  3. Step 03: Scope and fixed quote

We write down what is included and what isn’t: the pages, the tools if there are any, the timeline and the price. Custom work is scoped here, before you commit.

    You get

    • A written scope
    • A fixed quote
    • A short written agreement

    We need from you

    • Your approval and signature. Nothing starts until you give them.
  4. Step 04: Kickoff

The first 50% starts the project. You send the materials the build needs, and the timeline starts once we have them.

    You get

    • An invoice for the first 50%
    • A start date

    We need from you

    • A usable logo, your copy and your images
    • For an Interactive Website, also the information the tools run on, such as options, prices or rules, and access to any accounts they connect to
  5. Step 05: Design and build

We build on a proven design foundation, tailored to your brand, or design and build your tools. When there is something to review, you get a private preview link.

    You get

    • A private preview link to review the work

    We need from you

    • Quick answers when a question comes up
  6. Step 06: Review and refine

You review the preview and send your changes together, so each round is clear for both of us.

    You get

    • Signature Website: one revision round, then final polish
    • Interactive Website: two revision rounds, then final polish

    We need from you

    • Your feedback, gathered into each round
    • Your approval to launch
  7. Step 07: Launch

Your website goes live on your own domain. We help set it up in your own hosting account, so the important accounts stay in your name.

    You get

    • Your website, live on your domain

    We need from you

    • The final 50%, before launch
    • Access to your domain and hosting account
  8. Step 08: 30 days of fixes

If something doesn’t work as agreed, we fix it. After that, updates are quoted when you need them. There’s no monthly plan to sign up for.

    You get

    • Fixes for anything not working as agreed, for 30 days

    We need from you

    • A short note about what isn’t working

02How long it takes

It starts when we have what the build needs.

Signature Website

Typically 1 to 4 weeks.

From $1,000.Most projects $1,000 to $2,500.

Counted from when we receive what the build needs.

Interactive Website

Typically 2 to 6 weeks.

From $2,500.Most projects $2,500 to $7,500+.

Counted from when we have what the build needs: your content, the information the tools run on and any required account access.

What can move a timeline

  • Content or information arriving later than planned
  • New pages, sections or features added after the quote
  • Third party accounts or approvals, such as booking or payment providers

03Price, payment and ownership

Price

You get a fixed quote before any work begins. It is the price for the scope it describes.

If you want something outside that scope, we quote it before doing it.

Payment

50% to begin, 50% before launch, unless your written proposal says otherwise.

Larger Interactive projects may use milestones instead, agreed in the quote.

Ownership

You own your website: your content, your custom assets and everything built for your project.

Your domain and your hosting account stay in your name, and you can take your website elsewhere at any time.

What we keep

Our general frameworks, design foundations and reusable components.

We may show your project in our portfolio, unless we agree otherwise.

Other services

Booking tools, paid images, AI usage and similar services are yours, ideally in your own accounts, at their own cost.

After launch

30 days of fixes are included.

After that, updates are quoted on request. No monthly plan.

Cancellation and refunds

If a project is cancelled or closed before it is finished, it is settled by the work completed: the value of the work done through that date, plus approved project expenses, less what you have already paid.

If you have paid more than that, we refund the difference. If a balance remains, we invoice it. No payment is ever treated as automatically forfeited.

04What we never promise

  • Guaranteed traffic.

A better website can help. Nobody honest can promise the numbers.

  • Guaranteed rankings.

Search engines decide rankings. We build sound, well structured pages.

  • Guaranteed sales.

We make it easier for customers to decide. The decision is theirs.

  • Invented proof.

Every project we show is a labeled concept. No made up clients or reviews.

  • A vague price.

You get a fixed quote before any work begins.

  • Lock-in.

Your domain and accounts are yours. You can leave at any time.
